The image above was a 5-minute sketch that I did to practice drawing Nai’Kage’s mask and scarf. I thought that I could have done a better job with Nai’Kage’s mask on panel 1 0f page 4. So I decided to work on the mask a little bit more. You may notice some similarities between Nai’Kage’s mask and the mask used by StarKiller in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Well, that’s because the inspiration for the mask came from Darth Vader’s Apprentice.

I just saw the latest artwrok for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. Once again, the guys at LuscasArts have created some top-notch artwork. Still, I couldn’t help but notice the similarity between their artwork and my artwork…

Since Darth Nai’Kage is the most important character of the Star Wars X webcomic, I have been working hard on a design for him. THis is why he is the last character that I posted in the characters section.
When I first designed the character Darth Nai’Kage, I knew that I wanted him to have a cape like Strider Hiryu, but every time I sketched him out, he ended up looking like a Strider clone. After many frustrating days of sketching, this is the final sketch that was used for the concept of Nai’Kage.
After a pretty long hiatus, I took the time to draw and update the preview of Darth Umb’r. His bio should be up in the characters section real soon..

I originally made Darth Ferra Purple because I thought that purple was a beautiful color for a TwiLek female. However, after talking things over with Dave, it turns out that he wanted Darth Fera to be red. So here are two different colorings of Darth Ferra. The final color for Darth Ferra will be the one that Dave chooses. Which version do you prefer?
Since I am currently working on the character image for Darth Furor, I’m putting up a preview of the image before it’s done. Inspired by Jedi knight, Kit Fisto, Darth Furor is from the same race and looks quite similar in characteristics. However, he is a Sith with mastery of Force lightning.
When designing the character Lumn’Vita, I looked at my two favorite Jedis for inspiration. Lumn’Vita is a combination of Obi Wan Kenobi and Qui Gon Jin.
