I recently came across this amazing artwork from ornicar at ConceptArt.org. It features an image of Darth Maul attacking a Rancor. It is truly beautiful. Since I will be having a Rancor fight soon in SWX (oops, spoiler alert) , I figure that I would share one of my inspirations.

Welcome to Star Wars X. Star Wars X is a webcomic made by Dave and myself. We happen to be huge Star Wars fans who feel that there arenâ€™t any good Star Wars webcomics out there. We found many fan films, mini-movies, scripts and screenplays but no good webcomics. So we though to ourselves: Why not make one? Dave decided to be the writer and I would be the artist.

I challenged Dave to write a good Star Wars script and he wrote a great story about the Sith and the Force. And to make sure that he doesnâ€™t piss off too many die-hard Star Wars fans, he decided to make the entire story happen thousands of years before the Old Republic. (Take that Wookieepedia!) Dave really put a lot of research into getting this webcomic started. I hope that my art can be as inspiring as his storyâ€¦.

Oh and if you are wondering about the X in Star Wars X, it doesnâ€™t stand for 10 or some magic meaning. We just like putting X at the end of everything we do..
